Religious Holidays

As the Berlin Cemevi, the Alevi house of worship, we observe the holy and important days and periods of the Alevi calendar together with our community. These special times, which hold great significance in Alevi teaching, include the Muharrem fast, the Hızır fast and Nevruz, and they are marked at our Cemevi with worship and events. On religious holidays, Cem ceremonies are held under the guidance of our Dedes and Anas (spiritual leaders), the Semah is performed and we come together in solidarity.

Our greatest aim is to strengthen the spiritual unity of our community, to share our religious values and to pass them on to future generations. As the Berlin Cemevi, we attach great importance to bringing our community together on these exceptional days of the Alevi faith, honouring our shared heritage and experiencing these special times together.
