Musahiplik ceremony

The Berlin Cemevi, the Alevi house of worship, conducts the Musahiplik ceremony, one of the most precious bonds of the Alevi faith, with great respect and care. Musahiplik is a sacred moment in which two souls strengthen their bond of kinship and take on responsibilities towards one another in this world and the hereafter. This deep spiritual bond involves a commitment between two individuals to support each other not only in this world but also on a spiritual journey.

The Musahiplik ceremony is founded on mutual respect and love and emphasises the importance of honesty and loyalty in relationships between individuals. As the Berlin Cemevi, we continue this ritual as a tradition that strengthens the unity and cohesion of our community while reflecting the core values of the Alevi faith. The Musahiplik bond reminds individuals of their responsibilities towards one another and reinforces the love of humanity and spirit of mutual help that lie at the heart of Alevi teaching.
