Hakka Uğurlama Ceremony

As the Berlin Cemevi, the Alevi house of worship, we stand by your side as you bid farewell to your loved ones on their final journey to Hak – a tradition deeply rooted in the Alevi faith. The Hakka Uğurlama ceremony (funeral and farewell ceremony) is led by our Dedes and Anas (spiritual leaders) and carried out with respect and dignity in memory of those we have lost.
The doors of the Berlin Cemevi are wide open to honour the souls of our loved ones and to offer comfort and spiritual support to their families and friends at this most difficult moment in life. Our central task is to provide a loving environment in which our community can come together in solidarity, mourn its losses and bid farewell to loved ones as they return to Hak. By standing by our community at this important turning point, the Berlin Cemevi upholds our religious traditions and meets the spiritual needs of our members.
