Cem ceremony

At the Berlin Cemevi, the Alevi house of worship, believers come together for the Cem ceremony, the communal act of worship of the Alevi community. Cems are led by our Dedes and Anas and emphasise the values of love, equality and fraternity, which hold an important place in Alevism.

The Cem ceremony also strengthens our community’s sense of social responsibility and deepens our spiritual bonds. The Cem ceremony serves as a means of both personal and social transformation. As the Berlin Cemevi, we are honoured to fulfil the requirements of our faith, to uphold our traditions and to pass them on to future generations.
